AFCON 2019: Rohr stays as Super Eagles coach – Pinnick

The Nigeria Football Federation has debunked the rumor about sacking Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr despite Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations disappointment in Egypt.

NFF president, Amaju Pinnick said on the contrary he will be proceeding for a refresher coaching programme with Bayern Munich, after the tournament.

Pinnick said Rohr has met the minimum expectation of the football governing body.

Nigeria will tackle Tunisia on Wednesday evening for the third place in the competition.

The Super Eagles’ hopes of a fourth African title faded into thin air following a 2-1 defeat to Algeria in the semi-final.
