Adegoruwa wants FG to use available law to counter online fake news

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ebunolu Adegoruwa has called on the federal government to test and implement available laws to curb the spread of fake news on social media.

Adeogruwa made it known that there are  existing laws in the constitution that need to be implemented rather than operating on subjective decisions.

He urged the federal government to allow free reign of the constitution instead of creating new laws.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria charged the executive arm of government to always remember that Nigeria is a country guided by a written law which is the constitution.

Adegoruwa was reacting to the issues surrounding the federal government’s move on social media regulation.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria spoke with newsmen in Abuja.
