ACC suspends Sowore, others

The African Action Congress has suspended its 2019 presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore.

He was suspended as the national chairman of the party for 6 months.

The party made the announcement at its third national executive committee meeting held in Abuja.

The deputy national chairman and 8 other members of the party’s executive committee were also suspended for anti-party activities.

Sowore is accused of collecting illegal foreign funds to prosecute his presidential campaigns in contravention of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Leonard Izemua has been appointed as the acting chairman of the party.
