Buhari urges minister-designate to prioritize good governance
President Muhammadu Buhari has challenged the ministers-designate to live up to the tasks ahead of them.
The president spoke at the presidential retreat for ministers-designate in Abuja.
The president said the country and the administration would rely on them to implement policies and programmes to lift Nigerians out of poverty.
He urged the ministers-designate to put in their best effort to support good governance.
The president also asked them to brace up for the task ahead, saying his administration remains committed to the well-being of the citizens.
Earlier, the secretary to the government of the federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, said all works must connect to the aspirations of the people.
The event had in attendance vice president Yemi Osinbajo, senate president Ahmed Lawan, APC national chairman Adams Oshiomhole, and other party leaders among others.
