Police arrest two over transformer vandalism in Enugu

The police command in Enugu state has arrested two suspected transformer vandals, whose activities had kept some communities in the state in a blackout.

The police also recovered up-risers cables, armoured cables and some other components of a transformer from the suspects.

In a statement today, the command’s public relations officer, Ebere Amaraizu, said the vandals were arrested on June the 23rd.

Amaraizu noted that the feat was achieved by police operatives on stop-and-search duties through intelligence information and partnership of the members of the public.

The police spokesman gave the names of the vandals as Jude Chibuoke and Chigozie Egwuonwu.
