Herdsmen: Ondo Govt. Mobilizes Security Forces Against Attack

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has said that security forces have been mobilized to stem the activities of herdsmen terrorising farmers and people in the state.

Akeredolu disclosed this while speaking at a public gathering in Aaye, Ifedore Local Government Area of the state.

He decried the incessant attacks on farmers by some suspected herdsmen in some parts of the country and assured that his administration would protect its citizens from any form of attacks.

The governor further stressed that the right of the people to engage in farming would not be allowed to be trampled upon.

However, he noted that any pastoralist interested in visitation the state with legitimate intention would not be disallowed.

Akeredolu, then advised farmers and the people of the state to go about their daily businesses without fear and report any suspicious movement to the security agents.
