Oyebanji Unveils Second-Term Priorities, Seeks Support for Tinubu in 2027

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, says his second-term projects will focus on boosting commerce, increasing productivity and promoting sustainable business growth across the state.

Oyebanji stated this during a Town Hall Meeting organised as part of consultations with stakeholders from Ekiti North Senatorial District in Ifaki-Ekiti ahead of the preparation of the 2027 state budget.

The Governor said the limited resources available to government made it necessary to prioritise projects that would add value to the economy and improve the well-being of residents.

He noted that investments in healthcare, electricity, roads and water supply would remain key priorities of his administration.

Oyebanji also pledged to strengthen public participation in governance, saying the views and needs of communities would continue to guide the government’s choice of projects.

On the 2027 presidential election, the Governor said Ekiti State would take seriously the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He urged residents to support the President at the polls, citing federal appointments and infrastructure projects in the state as evidence of the Federal Government’s support for Ekiti.

Traditional rulers and other stakeholders from the North Senatorial District called for greater attention to roads, electricity, water supply, healthcare and security in the 2027 budget.

They also pledged their continued support for the Oyebanji administration as it begins its second term in office.
