Gunmen Kill One, Abduct Woman in Ondo Community

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the killing of 34-year-old Okudili Okoro and the abduction of Mrs. Orogun by gunmen in Ayede Ogbese, Akure North.

The command spokesperson, Olushola Ayanlade in a chat with newsmen said the attack happened on Thursday night.

He said about ten armed men stormed the area in two unregistered vehicles, escaping towards Akure and Owo after the operation.

The police spokesman added that CP Adebowale Lawal visited the scene today, ordering a full-scale manhunt and also vowing to rescue the victim unharmed.

The command urged the public to provide any useful information to aid the investigation.
