GWR: OAU student begins 50-hour hand wash-a-thon

A 200 level student of the department of Linguistics and African Languages, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Enitan Subair, is set to officially attempt 50 hours Wash-a-thon to break Guinness World record.

The longest hand washing exercise which began today at exactly 2pm is taking place at the premises of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife.

Students and well wishers converged on the venue to cheer subair to victory in breaking the Guinness world record as the attempt was live stream on social media platforms

While speaking to journalists Subair who hinted that she notified and got the approval of the GWR before embarking on the journey hinted that she has conceived the idea few months ago and had since commenced the process.

She expressed optimism that she has what it takes to complete the exercise

Also speaking the dean of students affairs of obafemi Awolowo university Adeolu odedire hinted that the exercise is being supported by the management of the institution as medical personnel and ambulance were provided should Incase of emergency.

The exercise is expected to be completed on Sunday.
