Gov Adeleke Removes Justice Adepele As Osun CJ, Appoints Afolabi

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has approved the resolution of the Osun State House of Assembly asking the Osun State Chief Judge, justice Adepele Ojo to step aside.

Justice Ojo was asked to step aside over allegations of misconduct, abuse of power, corruption and disregard for rule of law pending investigation.

In a statement, the governor also directs his Deputy, Kola Adewusi to perform the swearing-in ceremony of the Acting Chief Judge of the State Olayinka Afolabi tomorrow.

This is coming despite a court injunction barring the State Governor from removing the State Chief Judge.
