Encomiums pour in for Agagu at 10th memorial service

Encomiums have continued to pour in for the former Governor of Oǹdó state, Late Dr Olusegun Agagu whose legacies has remained indelible after 10 years of his demise.

Political leaders, friends and top government functionaries who gave the commendation at the 10 year remembrance of late Dr Olusegun Agagu held at the Dome in Akure on Thursday said his legacies has impacted positively on the lives of people in Oǹdó state.

The former speaker of Ondo state under the regime of late Olusegun Agagu, Mr. Victor Olabintan described the former Governor Olusegun Agagu as a unified leader, adding that even in his death, his spirit continued along the path of altimistic service to humanity.

Olabintan said the theme of the colloquium “GOOD GOVERNANCE” A review of the purposeful and impact vision and mission of Dr Olusegun Kokumo Agagu in Ondo State” Is very apt as it gives the opportunity to celebrate the former Governors legacy and also contextualize his governance ideals and their relevance in the past – modern Nigeria political space.

Speaking with journalists at the event center, Former deputy Governor to Olusegun Agagu, Mr Omolade Oluwateru described Agagu as a brilliant Governor who has the interest of his people at heart.

On his part Former Governor of Ekiti State, Olusegun Oni said the good deeds of late Dr. Agagu has earned him the love of the people.

APC women leader under the regime of late Dr. Agagu, Mrs. Yejide Ogundipe reiterated that the former Governor ran female inclusive government.

One of the children, Mr. Feyi Agagu who spoke for the family of the late former Governor reiterated that the good deeds of their late father has made ways for the family in diverse ways.

Dignitaries at the 10th year remembrance of former Governor Agagu include political stakeholders, traditional rulers and family and friends.
