Court sentences siblings to 15 months imprisonment for assault in Ekiti

A Magistrate Court sitting in Ado Ekiti has sentenced two siblings Sunday Arowosoki and Gbolaga Arowosoki to fifteen months imprisonment with an option of thirty thousand naira fine each for conspiracy to commit unlawful assault and unlawful damage of two shops.

In the charge read against Sunday and Gbolaga Arowosoki, they were alleged to conspired in committing felony to wit, malicious damage and unlawfully assault on Mrs Rachael Arowosoki and damaged of properties.

According to the victim Mrs Arowosoki who was a trader, the culprit mobilized some armed people in an attack with the aim of killing her after the death of Mr Jimoh Arowosoki who was her Late husband.

In his judgment, Magisrate Olatomiwa Daramola said that different evidences presented before the court proved the suspects guilty of the charges leveled against them.
