Tinubu promises to deliver on campaign promises as he receives highest national honour
The president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has promised to identify with the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians for national development.
He made the comments while being conferred with the highest honour in Nigeria, Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic, GCFR.
Vice president-elect Kashim Shettima was also decorated as Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, GCON.
The investiture ceremony was held in Aso villa Abuja.
In his speech, the president elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu commends president Buhari for strengthening democracy in the country.
Part of the event is an official handover of transition documents to the incoming administration.
On Monday, May 29th, Tinubu will be sworn in as the next president of Nigeria, succeeding president Muhammadu Buhari.
