Oyebanji Presents Appointment Letter To 800 Newly Recruited Teachers

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has charged the newly recruited 800 Primary School Teachers to the public Primary School in Ekiti State to be committed and diligent to their work.

He gave the charge while presenting appointment letters to the newly employed teachers at the government house ground in Ado Ekiti.

Governor Oyebanji noted that the employment of the teachers into the state Primary Schools would strengthen the quality of education in the state especially at the rural areas where there have been shortage of teachers

He however urged the teachers that his administration expects them to employ modern techniques in addition to their professional ethics in the discharge of their duties.

The chairman of Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board Prof Femi Akinwumi, gave a background to the recruitment process which he said that the best were chosen under competence.

He noted that people living with disabilities were also considered in the recruitment process.

Some of the teachers assured that the governor and Ekiti people to to reciprocate the gesture of the governor by discharging their duties in line with the ethics of their profession.

The recruitment of the teachers is said to be part of efforts to achieve a target of zero percentage of out of school children in addition to financial backing to subeb and other interventions.
