INEC presents Certificate of Return to Osun gov-elect, Adeleke
The Independent National Electoral commission has presented certificate of return to Osun state governor elect Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party
The certificate was presented to Adeleke by the INEC national commissioner in charge of Osun, Ogun and Oyo state electoral commission in the state prof kunle Ajayi at the INEC office in osogbo,the osun state capital.
The deputy governor elect Kola Adewusi was also presented his certificate of return.
In his remarks the INEC national commissioner in charge of osun,Ogun and Oyo state prof kunle Ajayi averred that the peaceful conduct and outcome of the election will make it a model in election management.
Also speaking INEC resident electoral commissioner in the state prof Abdulganiy Raji who commended all stakeholders on the peaceful conduct of the election noted that democracy will be stronger if politicians can do the right thing at the right time especially in the area of fulfilling campaign promises.
In his acceptance speech the governor elect Ademola Adeleke who adjudged the conduct of the election as free ,fair and credible promised not to betray the confidence reposed in him by the people of state.
It would be recalled that Ademola Adeleke of People’s Democratic Party was declared winner of July 16 gubernatorial election in osun state polling 403,371 votes to defeat the incumbent governor Gboyega Oyetola who polled 375,027 votes.
