Ondo APC Aspirant Demands cancellation Of Senatorial Primary
An APC aspirant for Akoko southeast/Akoko southwest, Dr. Victor Ategbole, wants the federal high court to cancel the party’s primary election for the constituency.
Ategbole said what took place was a kangaroo election that violated the electoral act, the Nigerian constitution, as well as the constitution of the APC.
He argued that holding the primaries in the Dome in Akure outside of Akoko southeast/Akoko southwest constituency is illegal.
Ategbole wants the federal high court sitting in Akure to order fresh primaries.
His counsel, Dr. Remi Olatubora, said the court has granted an order for substituted service to ensure that the first defendant, Gboyega Adefarati is served.
The court adjourned the case to October the 5th and 6th for further hearing.
