Ondo Assembly Tasks Buhari On Foreign Assistance Against Insecurity

The Ondo State House of Assembly has stressed the need for president Muhammadu Buhari and the National Assembly to rise up to the issue of insecurity in the country.

Speaker, Bamidele Oleyeloogun made this known after an issue was raised at the plenary by lawmaker representing Ose, Mr. Oluyede Feyide on the abduction and killing in Ose local government by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Oleyeloogun urged the government to seek for assistance of the foreign nation in area of defence and intelligence gathering in order to an end the crisis in the country.

The speaker however emphasized on the need for the establishment of state policing.

Oleyeloogun noted that the issue of insecurity is everyone business, calling on traditional rulers to protect their domain.

The speaker was speaking on the reference to the abduction and killing in Ose local government.
