Army rescues 5 abducted Kaduna college students
The Nigerian army says it has rescued five of the students of the college of forestry mechanization, Afaka, Kaduna state.
Thirty students of the college were abducted by armed bandits in March.
The abductees were seen in a viral video begging the federal government to pay for their release.
A statement by the director army public relations brigadier general Mohammed Yerima, identified the rescued students as Abubakar Yakubu, Francis Paul, Obadiya Habakkuk, Amina Yusuf and Maryam Danladi.
