Gunmen kill 6 in Osun
Some gunmen have killed six people in Wasinmi village in Irewole local government of Osun state.
The osun state police command spokesperson yemisi opalola who comfirmed the incident in a telephone interview said the incident happened before daybreak.
Opalola added that the six persons killed were member of the same family.
She said the Commissioner of Police in the State, Wale Olokode, and some detectives have moved to the village to fish out the perpetrators.
An eye witness who is also a son of one of the six persons killed by unknown gunmen in Wasimi in Osun state has narrated how the incident occurred.
According to Samu Yahaya who spoke in Yoruba, the gunmen arrived on two motorcycles and called out his father, mother, step mother and three of their grand children and shot them
Yahaya said he ran into the bush to escape being killed.
The deputy governor of Osun state, Benedict Alabi who visited the scene of the incident condemned the act describing it as man inhumanity to man.
Alabi noted that the state government would ensure that those that perpetrated the act is brought to book
