Mahin/Aheri youth congress debunks electing new executive
The Mahin/Aheri youth congress says, the news making the rounds that it has elected a new executive is false.
In a letter copied the chairman of Ilaje local government, the trustees of the youth congress states that the tenure of the present executive lapses in May 2021 and the process of electing a new one has not begun.
The trustees accused an APC member, Otito Atikase and some politicians of being the masterminds of the fake news and urged members of the Mahin/Aheri and Etikan youth congress to discountenance the news.
In a letter sent to the police, the navy, DSS and traditional rulers in the kingdoms, the trustees ask the Ilaje local government chairman to call one Egbowon Komolafe and Otito Atikase to order.
The statement was signed by Ipenko wale black, Okorisa Orimisan, amongst others.
When contacted, APC chieftain, Otito Atikase said those who call themselves trustees are not to have any input in the selection of a new executive.
Atikase said the decision of leaders of the communities involved in choosing a new executive stands.
