Georgia election official urges Trump to turn down rigging accusation

A republican election official in the key US state of Georgia, Gabriel Sterling, has appealed to Donal Trump to turn down his accusation of rigging in last month’s presidential poll.

Gabriel listed a series of abuse which he said have been directed against officials, their families and contractors.

Reviling that he had police protection at his home, Mr Sterling said that sexualized threats have been made against the wife of Georgia secretary of states and death threats made towards 20 year old employee of a voting system company.

As second recount of the presidential votes in Georgia is still taking place even though officials have certified results that show Joe Bidden won the state.
