Kenya marks November as darkest month since coronavirus pandemic
Kenya government has declared November the darkest month since the coronavirus pandemic struck the country in March.
Health minister, Mutahi Kagwe said the number of cases recorded this month has doubled those recorded in October and September combined.
In November, 28,124 cases and 456 deaths were recorded as total number of confirmed cases now stands at 83,316 with 1,452 deaths.
The authorities fear that cases may increase during the December festivities.
The government eased restrictions and reopened schools for final year students and the rest of the classes are set to resume in January.
