Akeredolu pays unschedule visit to Ondo Assembly, Inspects Ongoing Renovation
The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Bamidele Oloyelogun says there will be no ceremonial presentation of 2021 budget by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Oleyeloogun made this know after the Governor paid an unscheduled visit to the Assembly complex to inspect the ongoing renovation work at the premises.
He said the Governor has been advised to transmit the 2021 Appropriation Bill to the house for consideration instead of the ceremonial presentation.
The speaker said the reason behind it was in view of the fact that the current temporary chamber of the house may not be spacious enough to host the Governor and his entourage during the Budget Presentation.
The governor Akeredolu was welcomed by The leadership of the State Legislature led by the Speaker, Bamidele Oloyelogun, the new Majority Leader, Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi and the Clerk of the House Mr Bode Adeyelu.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is expected to present the 2021 budget to the State House of Assembly on Friday.
