Ondo govt and Labour’s romance fruitful as workers set to receive outstanding allowances

Ondo state government has agreed to pay outstanding 5 months deductions from May to September to cooperative societies, two months subventions for June and July to tertiary institutions, September salary to UNIMEDTH workers and pensioners.

The government will also pay local government and primary school teachers their September salaries.

This was part of the agreement reached with the organised labour by the government after series of meetings as well as interface with the workforce.

The organised labour was led by the NLC chairman, comrade Sunday Adeleye-Oluwole; JNC chairman, Niyi Fabunmi and the TUC chairman, Helen Odofin.

The labour/government agreement also directs all cooperative societies to immediately pay workers who applied for loans as soon as the deductions were settled.

The agreement also states that government would pay the salaries, pension and deductions within one week.
