Gunmen abduct medical doctor in Kogi

Unidentified gunmen have abducted a medical doctor in Ayingba, Kogi state.

A statement issued on Monday by the Kogi state chapter of the Nigerian medical association states that Dr Azubuike Ihenacho was abducted at his residence in Ayingba on Saturday evening.

The statement signed by the state NMA chairman, Dr Omakoji Oyiguh, and his secretary, Dr Famotele Tolorunju, says that the yet to be identified gunmen stormed Dr Azubuikeā€™s residence between 9.00pm to 9.30pm on Saturday the  21st November and abducted him.

The association calls on security operatives to help in the search and rescue of the doctor.

The statement hints that the abducted doctor was in a vehicle with another man and his wife at the front of his house when the kidnappers attacked.
