Ondo high court restrains Akeredolu from appointing Ijiniga as Ore regent
The Ondo state high court sitting in Ore has restrained Governor Rotimi Akeredolu from appointing or instilling David Ijiniga as the regent of ore.
Chief Monday Sawoju, Chief Esther Ojo, Chief Tope Ijiniga and Chief Fakeye Sawoju had approached the court for an interim order restraining the state governor and others from appointing or installing David Ijiniga as the regent to ore in Odigbo local government area of the state.
Other defendants in the suit are the Ondo state commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, the state attorney –general and commissioner for justice, chairman of Odigbo local government and David Ijiniga.
Justice .A. Adegoroye ordered that the substantive application be served on defendants.
