Akeredolu expresses disappointment over Akure result

Ondo state Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has expressed disappointment in the people of Akure for voting against him in saturday’s governorship election.

Akeredolu spoke when he received his certificate of return at the inec office in Akure.

The governor said the people of the area turned against him despite all the development projects he executed in Akure.

Inec’s national commissioner in charge of lagos, Ogun and Ondo states, Adekunle Ogunmola said the successful conduct of saturday’s election is an indication of the commissions determination to deepen the nation’s democracy.

Ondo state resident electoral commissioner, Rufus Akeju urged governor Akeredolu to be magnanimous in victory and use his renewed mandate for service to the people.
