Aketi inaugurates newly elected council chairmen, as ADC kicks
Ondo state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has sworn in the newly elected chairmen of the 18 local government areas of the state.
The Ondo state independent electoral commission had on Saturday held the council elections.
Governor Akeredolu urged the new council heads to put the people first in all they do.
He assured them of his cooperation.
The governor vowed that his administration would continue to transform the state.
Responding on behalf of others, the chairman of Ifedore local government, Alex Oladimeji promised to key into the policies and agenda of governor Akeredolu.
The new local government chairmen will in turn inaugurate elected councilors.
The African Democratic Congress, ADC has described the just concluded election in Ondo west and east local government areas as a slap on democracy.
Chairman of the party in the local government area, Owolabi Oladimeji said the election was marred by irregularities.

Chairmanship candidates of Ondo west and east Ola-Felix Akinola and Wale Akinlosotu respectively said the election came short of expectations.
The party said it has made its grievances known to the relevant authorities and wait for responses.
