Fayemi demands safe release of kidnapped commissioner in Ekiti
Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi has mandated security agencies to ensure the safe release of kidnapped commissioner for agriculture in the state, Folorunsho Olabode.
Olabode was reportedly kidnapped on Sunday evening by some suspected herders while on his way from Ado Ekiti to his hometown in Ilejemeje local government area of the state while the driver of his vehicle, a serving councilor was shot dead.
The state commissioner for information, Muyiwa Olumilua told Adaba FM in a telephone interview that adequate measures are ongoing to ensure the safe release of the state commissioner for agriculture.
On his part, state commissioner of police, Amba Asuquo said he has deployed a team of detectives to ensure his safe release.
