Buhari speaks on benefits of lockdown

President Mohammadu Buhari has admitted that the decision to extend lockdown was difficult but necessary to avoid further casualties of covid-19.

Buhari said the initial lockdown helped Nigerians to fight the disease hence, the need for the extension.

He called on individuals, agencies and corporate bodies to play their roles in eradicating the scourge of coronavirus.

Buhari said that palliatives are being distributed to some Nigerians to cushion the effects of the lockdown.

Buhari gave the position in a nationwide address on Monday.
