2020 ITTF: Aruna Quadri out of German open

Nigeria’s Quadri Aruna could not repeat another three-set comeback, as he lost 4-2 to Germany’s Timo Boll in the round of 32 of the 2020 ITTF world tour platinum, German Open on Thursday.

Aruna went down three sets against boll in 17 minutes and was hoping to repeat his feat against Benedek Olah, where he came back to win 4-3 from three sets down.

He won the next two sets, closing the margin to 3-2.

However, the German regained control, winning his fourth set to claim an 11-5, 11-2, 11-9, 3-11, 8-11, 11-8 victory over the Nigerian.
