Ship owners to access 200 million dollars financing fund

Minister of transportation Rotimi Ameachi has disclosed that ship owners in Nigeria will soon access a capital vessel financing fund.

Ameachi said the 200 million dollar financing fund was approved by president Muhammadu Buhari.

He noted a 9 –man committee has been set up to draw up modalities which will be sent to the senate before disbursement of the fund.

The minister was speaking in Lagos.     

Rotimi Amaechi stated that the vessel financing fund is a product of capital act 2003.
