Two die in Guinea anti-government protests

Security forces have shot dead two protesters in Guinea

This happened on the first day of protests against president Alpha Condé’s suspected plan to amend the constitution so he can serve a third term.

Several members of the coalition of politicians and activists that called the demonstrations were also arrested.

One protester, a student was killed in the capital, Conakry while a second youth died in the northern city of Labe.

Previous demonstrations against Mr Condé have been broken up by security forces leading to at least 20 deaths.
