In Benue, irate youth set ablaze detained robbery suspect

Angry youths on Wednesday set a suspected armed robber ablaze at Korinya in Konsisha local government area of Benue state.

The suspect, Nator Ioryue AKA Natiooo was said to have attacked a businessman on his way home after the day’s business.

Nator was said to have initiated the attack with his gang members before they were arrested by the police.

However, some of the angry youth reportedly stormed the police station in the early hours of today, forcefully brought the culprit out and beat him to stupor before setting him ablaze

Spokesperson of the state police command, Catherine Anene confirmed the incident.

She said the police would fish out perpetrators of the mob action for appropriate punishment.
