UK prime minister to address new members of parliament

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will address his new intake of conservative members of parliament later as they arrive in Westminster to take their seats in parliament.

Many of the 109 new members of parliament won in areas traditionally held by Labour in Thursday’s election.

Their first job will be to vote on the withdrawal agreement bill that the prime minister intends to bring back before Christmas.

Mr Johnson is also expected to carry out a mini cabinet reshuffle.
