Abia ex-gov. to spend 12 years in prison
The federal high court in Lagos has sentenced a former Abia state governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, to a maximum of 12 years in prison.
Kalu was imprisoned for over 7 billion naira fraud among other multiple sentences ranging from 3 to 5 years.
Presiding judge, justice Mohammad Idris also convicted and sentenced two accomplices who were found guilty of fraud.
They got multiple sentences between 3 and 10 years.
