Ex-militants storm Portharcourt over unpaid allowance
Scores of former Niger Delta militants have protested the alleged non-payment of their allowances by the presidential amnesty office.
The ex-fighters, who are undergoing training in manufacturing and repairs of electric transformers, said they had not been paid their allowances since August.
The protesters were at the presidential amnesty office in Portharcourt this morning, displaying placards with various inscriptions, chanting war and solidarity songs.
