Group calls for governor Akeredolu’s expulsion from APC
The Unity Forum of the APC in Ondo state has described as shameful and laughable the denial by the state commissioner for information and orientation, Donald Ojogo that governor Rotimi Akeredolu had been suspended from the All Progressives Congress.
The forum in a statement signed by Gbolahan Ayegbusi said Ojogo was lying to the people of the state about the status of the governor in the party.
Ayegbusi referred Ojogo to the response of Akeredolu to his suspension through a letter dated 21st of April, 2019 and titled: re: suspension for anti-party activities.
He further claimed that if the governor had not been suspended why did he respond through a letter personally signed by him.
Mr Ayegbusi called on Ojogo to live up to the call of his office as commissioner for information.
However, the Unity Forum reaffirmed that governor Rotimi Akeredolu remains suspended.
It called on the National Working Committee of the party for his expulsion from the party and the dissolution of the Ade Adetimehin led EXCO because what it called their incurable anti- party activities till date.
Meanwhile, in his reaction, the state commissioner for information Donald Ojogo said the Ali Olanusi led unity forum is not the mouth piece of the party in the state and at the national levels.
