8 people died in Edo bus, tipper collision

A tipper has crushed at least eight people to death at Oka market in Ikpoba-Okha local government area of Edo state.

The report gathered that the tipper rammed his truck into a commercial bus with passengers after its brakes failed.

Among those who died were the driver of the bus, the conductor as well as women and children.
The driver of the truck is said to have escaped immediately after the accident.

Meanwhile, the angry bus drivers and community youths have set the truck ablaze.

They also called on the state government to regulate the activities of truck drivers
