6.0 magnitude quake hits Tanzania
A 6.0 magnitude earthquake has hit Tanzania on Wednesday night.
The offshore quake struck at a depth of 15.5 kilometers just after 8pm local time.
Its epicentre was near the commercial hub of Dar Es Salaam.
No damage was reported after the quake.
The tremors were felt in Kenya’s coastal town of Mombasa and parts of the capital, Nairobi.
This comes days after residents living around Kenya’s Lake Baringo reported tremors as water levels in the lake rise because of ongoing rains.
