2018 Budget: Akeredolu Proposes #171.268bn

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State today presented the 2018 budget estimate before the State House of Assembly.

The projected budget size is One hundred and seventy-one billion, two hundred and sixty-eight million Naira, #171.268B.

Tagged “Budget of Progress” the bugdet has a recurrent expenditure of N81. 521bn and a capital expenditure of N68.096bn.

Akeredolu while addressing the lawmakers expressed hope that the appropriation bill will be given the required attention for scrutiny and eventual approval.

He explained that the budget is aimed at achieving stability, sustainable growth and development.

The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun observed that no sector of the state economy suffered in the budget Presented.

He commended the governor’s vision and assured him that the budget will be looked thoroughly into and given quick passage.
