Zuma denies meeting Russian delegation before changing cabinet
South African President, Jacob Zuma, has denied meeting with Russian delegation before changing his cabinet last week.
The report says Zuma met with Russian representatives who pressurized him to fast-track nuclear deal with Russia.
Presidential spokesperson Bongani Ngqulunga says the president was not influenced by changing his cabinet by the Russians or any other foreign forces.
The Russian embassy in South Africa has also dismissed allegations that President Vladimir Putin had a hand in Zuma’s cabinet reshuffle and appointment of David Mahlobo as energy minister to facilitate the nuclear deal.
