What to know about ‘Good Friday’

Christians the world over are observing the Good Friday today in commemoration of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

The Good Friday symbolizes his death at Calvary, preceeding his resurrection and ascension to heaven on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday respectively.

The Service of the Great Three Hours’ Agony will hold in many churches today from noon to 3PM, symbolizing the 3 hours that darkness was upon the land until Jesus Christ breathed his last on the cross.

The 9th Hour, a special programme that will highlight the significance of Good Friday and the lessons therein will hold at 1PM through 2PM today on this dial.

On Monday, listeners are enjoined to tune in at 10AM and 2PM for special Easter programmes which will avail them the opportunity to greet their loved ones.
