Venezuela: Pressure mounts on Maduro as US plans concrete steps

Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro is facing  growing international pressure after his troops repelled foreign aid conveys at the country’s borders with the United State threatening new sanctions and Brazil urging allies to join what he called liberation effort.

Juan Guaido, Venezuela’s self declared interim president, urged the international community to consider all measures to oust Maduro after clashes at border.

The opposition leader’s call came ahead of a meeting of the regional Lima group of nations in Bogota.
