US Vice President, Mike Pence left game venue as players refused to stand for national anthem
United States Vice President, Mike Pence walked out of a National Football League (NFL) game after several players refused to stand for the United States national anthem.
Mr Pence said he could not be present at an event that disrespects us soldiers and the national flag.
President Donald Trump tweeted that he had asked Mr Pence to leave if players knelt.
Kneeling at National Football League games has become a form of protest against racial injustice.
Mr Trump criticised players sharply for the protests and pressed the National Football League to ban them.
Last month Mr Trump gave an executive order against anyone found disrespecting the United States flag.
