US Navy to discipline sailors after 7 crew of USS were killed
The United States Navy has announced that about a dozen sailors are to be disciplined after seven crew of the USS Fitzgerald were killed in a collision.
The destroyer collided with a Philippines container whip in Japanese waters in June.
Deputy Chief of naval operations Admiral Bill Moran said that the commanding officer and two other senior crews would no longer serve aboard the ship.
Mr. Moran explained that the navy had lost trust and confidence officer’s ability to lead.
