US explains its controversial travel ban on North Korea, Venezuela and Chad
The United States has expanded its controversial travel ban to include people from North Korea, Venezuela and Chad.
The white house says the restrictions follow a review of information sharing by foreign governments.
Mr Trump issued a presidential proclamation late on Sunday.
He says making America safe remains his greatest priority and will avoid admitting refugees his country cannot safely vet
However, the restrictions on Venezuelans apply only to government officials and their family members.
