Ugandan Parliament adjourns sitting after a harsh day
The Ugandan parliament adjourned sitting after a harsh day in which members of parliaments fought each other in the chamber amid accusations that some members were carrying firearms.
The adjournment followed repeated procedural objections to attempts to begin a debate about a controversial proposed constitutional change.
The report says if the proposed change goes ahead on lifting the presidential age limit from 75, this will give President Yoweri Museveni a chance to stand for another term in office.
Information has it that parliament is due to reconvene tomorrow.
