Thousands of migrants living in shocking conditions in Libya – United Nations
The United Nations (UN) says thousands of migrants are living in shocking conditions in the Libyan town of Sabratha.
The United Nations refugee agency is providing urgent assistance to 14 thousand people, who have been freed from captivity.
It warned that another six thousand people are still held by human traffickers, who have made the town their base.
The agency said most of the refugees have been subjected to several cases of abuse, including sexual violence.
