Staff Audit: Osun ASUU abandons exercise over conduct of consultant

Members of the Academic Staff Union of University of the Osun state university have accused the Consultant handling the ongoing Osun staff audit of ill-treatment against its members and management.

The ASUU members said during the exercise the consultant Sa’adat Bakrin-Ottun exhibited series of undignified manner by calling a senior Professor of the institution, Prof.Amos Popoola, a bastard.

While speaking to journalists at the venue of the exercise held at Centre for Art and Culture Osogbo, some of the members of the institution Damilare Adedayo and John Adebayo equally alleged the Consultant of seizing a mobile phone from another senior Professor of the institution.

The University staff left the exercise and gathered outside the venue, seeking government’s intervention and threatening to stay away from the exercise until the woman tenders apology for the misconduct.

In her reaction, the Consultant Sa’adat Bakrin-Ottun denied the allegation, claiming to have earlier been
insulted by some of the members without responding.

Osun state government had on June 24 commenced staff audit across the public service with a view to authenticate the data of the state workforce.
